A review of the implementation of the new Canada.ca Website

Overview

Canada.ca is primary web destination and government services platform for the Government of Canada. As per government's vision, it is supposed to be the one-stop-shop for all government interactions on the web. Prior to this vision, there were hundreds of websites to provide various services and information. Some time around 2013, the government decided to consolidate all of these websites into one - Canada.ca. And thus, the a project was undertaken to implement and roll-out a new Canada.ca website that would provide the services of all of these websites. However, the execution of this project was riddled with issues, schedule slippage and budgte overrun. In this post, we'll review this project that was undertaken to implement and roll-out this new Canada.ca website.
